Changing lives through creativity

At Wee Red Upcycles we use creativity and furniture upcycling to improve the lives and aspirations of adults and young people with disabilities and additional support needs.

What we do

Wee Red Upcycles is a Community Interest Company (social enterprise) which specialises in teaching valuable transferable skills in repair, re-designing and upcycling of furniture to vulnerable adults and young people within our community.

There are three principles to our work: Creativity, Inclusion and Community.

Founded in 2018 by Lyn Hamilton, we are based in Haddington, East Lothian.

The aim of Wee Red Upcycles is to support, educate and empower those with additional support needs by building confidence, self-esteem and breaking down barriers to support.

We encourage everyone to reach their full potential through the creative processes of upcycling furniture and making products from materials destined for landfill.

Lyn, our founder and her family are facing a challenging time ahead which has meant that many projects and plans for Wee Red Upcycles have been put on hold.

The running costs for Wee Red Upcycles are high and to help us keep the shop open you can make a donation towards our running costs.

Every little helps and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who has donated and offered support during this incredibly difficult time.
